Hessen Riff - Bio

Hessen Riff is passionate about music - all kinds of music. His favorite music evolves from a 70's folk-rock sound, but Hessen also has a genuine enthusiasm for creating new, original songs rooted in that genre and branching beyond, as well.

Although Hessen states that he has been languishing in obscurity for years, he is driven by this love of music. He continues to work hard on his acoustic guitar playing, percussive interests, and songwriting.

Hessen enjoys home recording and follows the Home Recording Blueprint Guide by Owen Critchley. He states, "Owen's straightforward system has put the joy back in the creative process for me. It's given me the road map I needed to keep improving and notching up on the creative side without technical complexities dragging me down. By using Owen's Home Recordng Blueprint method, approach, I feel comfortable knowing that I have a fundamental system in place. Then, it's all on me to improve and to accomplish my goals as a songwriter."
